Welcome to Fifty-Six Union

We are celebrating our 21st year on Nantucket Island! Fifty-Six Union is a five-star restaurant offering global cuisine and glorious libations.  Our cuisine is characteristic of a variety of cooking styles and traditions that are unique to different regions of the world. Some of our favorites include the Curried Mussels - in which we use spices and herbs traditional to yellow Thai curry, blended with ginger scallion rice and succulent mussels from Prince Edward Island (PEI).  For spice lovers, our Javanese Rice is a must try! This dish is our take on ‘Nasi Goreng’ an Indonesian fried rice dish that originates in Java. Pair your meal with a selection from our extensive wine list or one of our specialty cocktails. 

At Fifty-Six Union we have four unique dining areas. the ‘front room’ is our largest and provides a lively social ambiance - with the bar situated nearby. The ‘back room’ is a private escape for families with children or those looking for a quieter outing. The ‘patio’ is fully protected from the elements with an awning covering as well as heaters and blankets to keep you cozy on those cool Spring, Summer and Fall evenings. Lastly, ‘Table 56’ is a private dining experience for large parties of 6 or more. Situated under a private cabana, this table sits out in the garden and is great for friends, families or any large group gathering (book well in advance as this table is a fan favorite).
